Subway operating hours?

The metro is open from 7 am to 11 pm.

How much does the fare cost and how do I pay?

The token costs 100 drams (18 ₽). There are no travel cards. You need to pay in cash. The line to buy goes fast. Therefore, in a maximum of a minute you can go underground.

How long to wait for the train?

5 minutes - during rush hour
7.5 minutes - during normal weekday hours
8.5 minutes - on weekends

How many branches and what is the distance between stations?

There is only 1 branch in the Yerevan metro with a branch to Charbakh station (Չարբախ). You can drive all of it in 18 minutes. The average travel time between stations is 2-3 minutes, except for Charbakh station. A shuttle train runs to it (a stage with only 1 track). You will have to wait up to 20 minutes for the train.

Other metro features

  • You can't take pictures on the subway, but you can use your smartphone
  • Stations are announced in Armenian and English
  • The length of the train is 2 or 3 cars, so go closer to the beginning of the platform
  • There is no Wi-Fi in the metro, but the network catches well due to the shallow occurrence of the stations
  • Series 81 cars run in the metro. Therefore, it is quite noisy at the stations and on the hauls
  • Escalators can be stood on both sides
  • The subway is not adapted for people with special needs
