Table of contents:
To cross the border, minors will need the notarized consent of one parent, guardian or custodian.
Issuance of consent
Consent is issued by a notary.
You will need the following documents:
- Original passport of the consenting parent
- Original birth certificate of a minor
The consent must include:
- Full name of the parent agreeing to the departure of the minor
- Full details of the minor from the birth certificate
- Countries visited (at the same time, associations like the Benelux or the EU cannot be indicated. Each country is indicated separately)
- Duration of visit (can be any: at least 1 hour, at least 10 years).
Notarial consent can be issued and certified in another state. But it is necessary to make a translation into Russian and notarize it at the consulate of the Russian Federation. An alternative to visiting a consulate is to affix an apostille.
Do minors need a birth certificate to cross the border?
If the traveler is under 14 years old, a passport is required to travel to Armenia. Persons over 14 years of age can enter with an internal passport. We also recommend taking a birth certificate. It will be required, for example, to call an ambulance.
Do I need the consent of the second parent to arrive in Armenia?
No. Only one parent's consent is enough
What else needs to be considered?
When buying a ticket, check with the airline if they sell tickets to unaccompanied minors.
