Yes. Most ambulance operators speak Russian. The operator can invite a colleague to the phone if he realizes that he cannot cope with the language barrier.

• Name the symptoms. Don’t think it over (Correct: foam from the mouth, eyes rolled up. Incorrect: foam from the mouth, eyes rolled up, I think it’s epilepsy);
• Name the name or social card number (10 digits) of the victim, if you have one;
• Name the date of birth of the victim and the number of full years;
• Name the address: Street, house number, entrance, floor, intercom;
• Specify: entrance from the yard or from the street;

Yes. Emergency assistance in Armenia is free for everyone. They will definitely help you in life-threatening situations: heart attack, stroke, appendicitis inflammation, potentially fatal injuries and others.

Even if the condition is not life threatening, you will not have to pay for the call. The doctor will recommend contacting the clinic for diagnosis. But this is a completely different story.

The doctor will conduct an examination. In case of a dangerous condition, he will be taken to the hospital and issued to the emergency room. The victim or accompanying person may be asked:Which hospital to take?". If there is no familiar doctor or the condition is critical, they will take you to the nearest one.

After the doctors stabilize the condition (perform an operation, administer the necessary drugs), a person without Armenian citizenship will need to pay for rehabilitation and recovery in the clinic.

• Hospitals don't provide food. Food will have to be ordered or delivered to loved ones.
• The victim may need their own bedding.
• Most doctors speak Russian. But there are exceptions - Europeans, Iranians, Syrians. Communication with them is in English.

The doctor will not ask or even hint about informal payment for his services. But, if you feel it needs to be done, thank you financially. That's good tone.
