Can I call in Russian?

Yes. Most ambulance operators speak Russian. The operator can invite a colleague to the phone if he realizes that he cannot cope with the language barrier.

What to say when calling an ambulance?

  • Name the symptoms. Don’t think it over (Correct: foam from the mouth, eyes rolled up. Incorrect: foam from the mouth, eyes rolled up, I think it’s epilepsy);
