In May we went to the sports club Orion, where classical bodybuilding champion and coach Levon Hovhannisyan gave us a tour, talked about the main mistakes of beginners and gave some fitness tips. The most important thing to know for someone who wants to gain muscle mass: calorie intake for the day of the week and month should be in surplus, that is you need to eat more calories than you expend. And the main thing is the quality of all nutrients and the balance of BJU.

About the target audience

Perhaps, here I can say that there are practically no restrictions. I would not recommend going to the gym with weights under the age of 14. This will require a special strategy, since the body is still developing and not all growth zones are formed. In this case, excessive loads can affect further growth. In other cases, there are no restrictions. Women, men, elderly, young, advanced and inexperienced - we welcome everyone. The trainers in Orion speak Russian, English and Armenian, so we will definitely understand each other. 

Fitness is a way of life. You can achieve good success at work, but even the most successful person after a couple of years of regular exercise will feel as if he was born again. People change, rejuvenate, reach the next high step in changing the quality of life. 

About a systematic approach

The secret of a systematic approach is to correctly prioritize. The mistake of many is that in 99% cases people are in a hurry. You can't become Monica Bellucci or Arnold Schwarzenegger in two or three months. It doesn't work like that.

You need to maintain the correct number of workouts per week so as not to burn out at the very beginning, and also carefully monitor nutrition.
The central nervous system takes much longer to recover than the muscular system. Beginners should not train more than two or three times a week. Provided that we meet all the necessary criteria, at first this will be enough.

And the criteria is simple: drink enough water and eat little and often. With each meal, our body temperature rises slightly, and after it, lipolysis, the metabolism of fats, also rises. If you start this process 5-6 times a day, in two weeks your metabolism will seriously accelerate and even during sleep you will burn calories.

Hold on for a month and I promise you will see measurable changes - both visually, in terms of body quality, and in increasing muscle tone. And as soon as you feel this euphoria, feel how your body is changing, you will want to pull this thread further. 

About analyzes

The first thing we do after prioritizing the client is to collect his (or her) medical history, the entire medical history, if any. The client may not know that he has, for example, a hormonal imbalance. But a professional coach will immediately notice some signs of such changes. For example, if a man has female-type obesity, this may be a reason for testing (thyroid hormone tests, TSH, thyroid-stimulating hormone, insulin, sugar, insulin resistance, testosterone, free testosterone, prolactin). With a hormonal imbalance, training will not give the expected effect, therefore The testing phase is very important.

But there are things that are quickly corrected by regular training - for example, insulin resistance. Many women who have given birth have this problem, and a competent endocrinologist or gynecologist with such a problem is often sent to the gym to work with weights.

About training 

Even now, when so much information is in the public domain, the issue of insufficient awareness is still acute. Together with the Association of Sports Medicine of Armenia, we opened a fitness school. Current certified, qualified trainers often come to us for new knowledge. The course is not very long, but in a few months we give the most basic necessary knowledge about fitness. For many, this will avoid delusions, and for some it will even save health. Simple example - many people think, for example, that it is not necessary to exercise during pregnancy. Whereas proper exercise during pregnancy can prevent hernia from forming.

Fitness is a science. You need to be a psychologist, and an endocrinologist, and a gynecologist.
