Gata baking and a concert at the artist's house

Lusik Aguletsi is an artist and keeper of antiquity, one of the last Armenian women who wears taraz, the Armenian national dress, in everyday life. This Friday, a collective baking of gata will be held in her house-museum and art cafe named after her - a good reason to look into the atmospheric place and look at the works of its former owner and the artifacts she has collected. The young Armenian band Hope for Coffee will be responsible for the musical accompaniment of the evening.

Parajanov's "Andriesh" screening at TUMO

TUMO continues to show adaptations of fairy tales of the peoples of the world in its film club. This time it will be possible to watch "Andriesh" - the first feature work of Sergei Parajanov, filmed in collaboration with Yakov Bazelyan. The film is based on a fairy tale by the Moldovan poet and writer Emilian Bukov about a young shepherd who fights the evil wizard Black Whirlwind with the help of a magic flute. In Andries, Parajanov's visual and narrative styles have not yet fully developed, but the beginnings of future splendor can already be seen.

DJ set by Nairi Simonyan at Tom Collins

Nairi Simonyan is the organizer of the Urvakan Armenian festival of contemporary music and art and the former drummer of the band Pompeya. This Friday he will entertain everyone with house at the Tom Collins bar. Hiking for children

Hiking, one of the main year-round leisure activities in Armenia, can be learned from preschool age. This Saturday, children from 3 to 6 years old are invited to go hiking in the village of Urtsadzor in the Ararat region. The group will first be taken to the ruins of the White Monastery, and then to the picturesque Tapi fortress. The length of the entire route is 5 kilometers.

Lindy Hop Master Class

Lindy Hop originated in Harlem in the 1920s from a mixture of Charleston, tap and other dances, when it became clear that it was impossible to dance to new types of jazz as before. Soon swing grew out of it and, a little later, rock and roll, and in Europe it was called boogie-woogie. These and other details can be learned at the master class by Marina Pereleshina and Valentin Ognev and at the same time learn the basics of this classical dance.

Another funny format in the stand-up club Ari. A variation on the theme of the famous game show The Weakest Link, several comedians on stage answer questions that they must answer either correctly or funny. If neither one nor the other succeeded, the participant flies out.

Brunch from Portal of Taste at PES

As usual, PES has prepared culinary and gambling entertainment for the weekend. On both weekends, the bar will host brunches by Portal of Taste, a gastro-enthusiast and experimenter Lesha Morozov. A menu with accents on Armenian specialties: creamy ishkhan chowder, arancini with pesto from local wild plants accompanied by Armenian capers, lavash grill cheese with suluguni and dates, and grilled eggplant with tahina and matsun sauce. From the table after 22:00 you can move to the DJ console, which is led by Sonya Rodina that evening. Music from Miyazaki's cartoons in Tufa

On Sunday, the Tuf Club will be able to listen to the performance of selected works from the soundtracks to Hayao Miyazaki's cartoons - "Spirited Away", "My Neighbor Totoro", "Howl's Moving Castle" and others. The author of all these soundtracks is the great Japanese composer Dze Hisaishi, also known for his work with director Takeshi Kitano. Hisaishi's compositions will be performed by the chamber ensemble PureSound.
