Performance "Sheranik" at the Yerevan State Pantomime Theater
The eloquent figures of the Armenian miniature of the 13th century became the subject of the performance. Images come to life. The performance presents the daily life of the ancient city of Ani, the famous Armenian capital of the 13th century. Medieval Armenian sharakans sound there, there is a theater of shadows (karagez), as well as a key spiritual image - in the face of the abbot, who plays an important role in history. The performance was inspired by the miniatures of the 13th century Haghpat Gospel, the only manuscript that has come down to us, which was created at the beginning of the 13th century in the ancient Armenian capital of Ani.
