Will I be drafted into the army?

Non-citizens of the Republic of Armenia will not be drafted into the army even in the event of mobilization, a state of emergency or martial law, they will not be called up for military training, they will not be involved in the defense of the country and public works. BUT, if necessary, the military can take away property and a car if they are registered in the Republic of Armenia (with subsequent compensation or return). Also, during a state of emergency, a ban on entry and exit from certain territories, including for foreigners and stateless persons, may be introduced.

Citizens registered in the reserve who do not enjoy the right to a deferment are subject to conscription for military service during mobilization. Citizens who were not called up for military service during mobilization may be sent to work in civilian positions in the Armed Forces and other troops.

Where are the bunkers located in Armenia?

This is classified information that representatives of the Ministry of Defense do not disclose. But local residents say that, if necessary, they were informed about the location of the nearest bunker by the people responsible for this or by neighbors who had already been notified.

How to behave when drones are operating?

  • Don't panic;
  • run away from buildings that could be a potential target for attackers, glass and concrete buildings, swimming pools and ponds;
  • the whistling sound is a missile being fired, not a drone. If you hear him, fall to the ground, cover your head with your hands, open your mouth;
  • if you are in a car, leave it and move far away;
  • do not touch the drone, if it falls, call 112;
  • stay away from crowds of people;
  • if you are at home: move away from the windows and go down to the basement. If it is not there, stand in the corners of the main walls, bathroom and hallway;
  • in wartime: turn off the electricity and gas and go to the basement.
