Back in the 18th century there was a park here, which was located in one of the outskirts of Yerevan - in Kozerne, and was called Kozerne Park. During the Soviet years, the park took on a new look. In 1949 The park was named after Pushkin. There were several carousels in the garden, and benches in the alleys. In 1970 the park was renamed Barekamutyun, and in 1995. - to Lovers' Park.
In recent years, the park has been in disrepair and deplorable condition. The park was reconstructed and equipped on the initiative of Albert Poghosyan.
