Yerevan 2800th Anniversary Park

With the funding of the Vardanyan family, the park of the 2800th anniversary of Yerevan was opened in the capital after reconstruction.
About 250 trees (70 unique species) were planted in the park. The green area has been almost doubled. Only old and diseased trees were cut down. A 24-hour automatic drip irrigation system has been introduced. The fountain in the park has 2800 jets. The area of 5,420 square meters is covered with tiles from seven types of granite stone with patterns of old Armenian carpets. In the central part of the park there is a map of Yerevan, surrounded by fountains, made of pink quartzite. There are five bronze water statues at the four corners of the fountain complex and in the center. The park also contains bronze statues of a bull and a lion, made in an Urartian theme, 76 benches, 62 garbage cans of original design and 126 lamps.
