Description

The square is located in the lower part of the Cascade, designed by Alexander Tamanyan. The monument to Tamanyan was erected in the park of the same name, on Moskovyan Street, closer to the central part of the city. A small park stretching from the statue to the Cascade complex is named after the great architect, founder of new Armenian architecture, academician Alexander Tamanyan.

The Cafesjian Sculpture Park occupies the park area in front of the Cascade and houses one of the finest collections of monumental sculpture in the world. Here you can see works by famous artists Fernando Botero, Jaume Plensa and Barry Flanagan.

This beautiful park is known not only as a pleasant place for walks, but also a favorite place for summer concerts and open-air events.
