State Museum of Nature of Armenia

The State Museum of Nature of Armenia under the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Armenia was founded in 1952 in the capital of Armenia, Yerevan. It was one of eight comprehensive nature museums of the USSR. The main goal of the museum is to popularize environmental education of the population - environmental education, as well as environmental propaganda. The museum presents the unique nature and fauna of Armenia, rare species of flora and fauna, stuffed wild animals. The exhibition halls, the exhibits of which represent a unique encyclopedia for each visitor, provide an opportunity to get an idea of the geographical location, relief, geological structure and climatic conditions of Armenia.

The museum also has a permanent exhibition of aquarium fish species where visitors can obtain information about fish species and their care.
