House Museum of Axel Bakunts

The house museum, which is a branch of the Museum of Literature and Art, was founded in 1968. in Goris, in the very house where the outstanding Armenian prose writer of the 20th century Axel Bakunts (1899-1937) was born. The number of main exhibitors reaches 500, plus there are thousands of scientific and auxiliary materials. They represent the writer's academic years, army life, as well as his rich literary activity. In addition, his rich library is kept here.

The memorial rooms with the writer’s personal belongings, photographs and other documentary materials have been preserved in unchanged condition.

The house-museum organizes various events dedicated to both the works of Bakunts and the tasks of modern literature. The annual Bakunts Days are also held here.
