Description

The house-museum of the largest Armenian poetess of the 20th century, writer and publicist Silva Kaputikyan opened in 2009, 3 years after her death, where she lived for 30 years. The memorial part of the museum occupies half the space of her 4-room apartment. It is interesting that in addition to the will, the poetess, during her lifetime, created the initial exhibition for the upcoming house-museum.

The memorial exhibition begins with the portal of the apartment, the second room represents an office-bedroom and the third room is a living room. During the poetess’s life, the apartment had a balcony, which was converted into a gallery for the museum, where interesting fragments from her life, souvenirs received from famous people, awards and her author’s books are presented. The museum is given a special shine by a plaster bust made by Silva Kaputikyan’s son, the famous sculptor and People’s Artist of Armenia Ara Shiraz.
