House-Museum of Paruyr Sevak

The house-museum of the great poet is located in his native village of Zangakatun. In the “Garden of Eden”, next to the house, the writer is buried and there is a tombstone.

The house-museum of Paruyr Sevak is a unique repository of the writer’s heritage. It contains photographs, documents, manuscripts, books and, of course, the writer’s personal belongings. The museum also stores school notebooks, certificates and diplomas. In one of the corners of the museum, Sevak’s things are arranged in exactly the same way as in the writer’s office in Yerevan.

The exhibitions are displayed in the museum's foyer, where there is a full-wall fresco by artist Sarkis Muradyan. The fresco depicts the poet Paruyr Sevak himself, as well as his contemporaries - Shiraz, William Saroyan, Silva Kaputikyan, Amo Sayan and others, his wife Nino Menagarishvili, parents and sons.
