Jermuk

Jermuk — is a resort town and an excellent health resort. All around are mountain peaks, alpine meadows, green dense forests, where a lot of all kinds of living creatures live. The air here is incredibly clean, saturated with the intoxicating aromas of flowers and life-giving pine needles. Mountain rivers, waterfalls and springs are filled with healing, pure water, filling the body with strength and health.

Tourists are especially attracted by the high, seventy-meter waterfall, mineral springs, picturesque trails, a lake, and a natural stone bridge. Walking through these places is a lot of fun. Even in ancient times, people came here to get enough of the beauty, soak up the sun, healing water and air. More than 500 geysers and springs have been found in the surrounding area.

There is also an ancient monastery called Gndevank, built in the 10th century. The monastery is surrounded by a fortress wall. To get to it, you need to go down to the bottom of the canyon, located in the Vayots Canyon. On the territory of the complex you can visit the abbots' chambers, outbuildings, a refectory, khachkars, ancient tombstones dating back to the 10th-13th centuries.

A gallery of mineral waters has been built in the city for those who want to drink mineral water. Water comes from five sources of different temperatures.
