"Airplane of Life" - a peaceful march to help 120,000 residents of Artsakh who are under blockade

Organizers: a team of repatriates and relocators Move2Armenia and Move2Artsakh.

Gathering: Friday, December 16 at 16:00 on the street. Paronyan 21/1 (Armenian Red Cross Society)

Event on Facebook: The march will take place from the building of the Armenian Red Cross Society to the UN office.

We will go 20 minutes with a ribbon (action symbol) and at the end we will launch the planes of the world into the sky. Our action will end at 17:00.

You do not need to take anything with you, we will distribute the ribbon and paper planes. We recommend dressing for the weather

The presence of everyone who cares about people's lives is necessary!

"Plane of Life" should land in Stepanakert! We call on international humanitarian organizations to provide urgent assistance to the population of Artsakh through the air corridor.

With the only land route blocked, opening an “air corridor” is the best alternative to averting a humanitarian catastrophe.

What happened?

On December 12 at 10:30, Azerbaijani citizens and representatives of the security services blocked the only road connecting Artsakh / Nagorno-Karabakh Republic with the rest of the world.

For the fifth day, Artsakh remains in the blockade of Azerbaijan:

- 120,000 inhabitants have no connection with the outside world.

- It is impossible to supply food, medicines, fuel and even humanitarian supplies.

- Residents of the Republic, 30,000 of whom are children, were deprived of the opportunity to heat their homes for three days due to blocked gas. On the morning of December 16, the Azerbaijani side opened the supply, but there is still no gas in the houses.

“Already now, people are starting to freeze (the temperature is below freezing in the republic at night), classes in schools have been stopped, important operations in hospitals have been postponed indefinitely.

Stepanakert has an airport that can receive help from anywhere in the world, in this case, the attention and will of the Red Cross, whose mission "is to protect the lives and dignity of the victims of war and domestic violence and provide them with assistance", is necessary.

Despite the resistance or unwillingness of Azerbaijan, 120,000 residents of Artsakh, 30,000 of whom are children, should receive appropriate assistance.

We urge to attract the attention of opinion leaders and international media, because only wide publicity can stop another act of aggression by Azerbaijan.

"Plane of Life" should land in Stepanakert!
