Screening of Steven Spielberg's "Empire of the Sun"

Cinema Club of the Center for Creative Technologies TUMO starts a new series of screenings. This time the focus is on adolescence. The series will open with Steven Spielberg's Empire of the Sun. Young Christian Bale plays an English boy whose prosperous family finds themselves in Shanghai at the height of World War II and at the time of the invasion of China by the Japanese army. The film is based on the autobiographical novel by science fiction writer and social critic James Ballard, adapted for the screen by the great British playwright and screenwriter Tom Stoppard.

Screening of Pink Floyd: The Wall by Alan Parker

Cinema "Moscow" continues to show cult films of different years. This Friday - "The Wall" by Alan Parker. The script was written by Pink Floyd frontman Roger Waters and is based on one of their most important albums, The Wall. The abstract, animated film tells the story of rock star Pink (played by Bob Geldof, another famous musician) who gradually loses his mind, being captivated by fame, an unhappy marriage, childhood memories and World War II.

Exhibition "The Guises of the Nude"

An exhibition dedicated to nudity in Armenian painting of different years is opening at the National Gallery of Armenia. Curators Vigen Galstyan and Seda Khanjyan promise to show what purpose nudity served in the work of various artists and what social, cultural or sexual experience they tried to convey with it.

The Ban club continues to show fantastic and horror classics with a picture by Briton Ken Russell.
