Air Arabia

The airline is the first low-cost carrier in the Middle East, flying to 89 cities around the world. Air Arabia differs from many low-cost carriers in that it offers inter-destination flights with transfers at Sharjah's base airport, as well as a free baggage service.

The airline has its own subsidiaries - Air Arabia Egypt in Alexandria, Egypt and Air Arabia Maroc in Casablanca.

Air Arabia announced at a press conference on September 9, 2009 that they would create a new airline based in Egypt with the Travco group to develop tourism in Egypt and expand Air Arabia's network. Travco is Egypt's largest travel company.
